My task is simple: I want to move to a different project

I have lead my current project from one year. Now I look forward for a change for something challenging. I am looking for a set of creative pointers which can substantiate my move when I sell this to my managers So guys start listing what ever comes to your mind out of blue!!

Continue to lead your team and take on an extra (smaller) project. Start to build a successor for your old project and then approach your management for more responsibility and/or visibility.

1. Find out the client expectations behind the new projects you're seeking in your org.
2.Prepare a list of
- what you did
- what you seek

Balance your expectations(and resume) between all of the above for a winning combination and then approach your mgmt.

Have a tentative transition plan for the current project ready (in terms of resources, your successor etc) . If you don't pay attention to this they're not going to let you leave this project.
