I want to make a picture fade out and another fade in

Is there any way to do this in flash..I want to create a motion tween and have the picture I imported fade out to the background and have another fade in.

You can do that by changing the _alpha property of the picture.
I believe you have to convert it to a symbol first.

yea just turn it into a graphic, then put 1 of them on a layer above the other and do a tween animation with it going to alfa 0 and the other going to 100.
