i want to fill an image with tiles

I know this is a double post per se, but i dont think I was being very clear in my earlier post.

I have an applet that loads an image. I would like to tile a section of this image.

Can anyone help me?

Thanx prosper for the feedback. The first one had sn example of what it could do. But what it does is just tiles the background. I would like to tile only one section of an image.
Ex. Scenario.

I have an image of squares in my applet.
I want to tile only one of these squares with an small image of dolphins.
How do I do this?

I would like to do this dynamically like have a pallette of images to choose from to tile inside a square.
