I want to cut video, but keep audio...

On a project Im working on, I need to cut the video, but keep the audio going while I put timeline-clip-2 into timline-clip-1's place, then switch back to clip 1. Is this even possible? I figured out how to use the razor, but that cuts the audio also.

Hi there,
you need to unlink the audio from the video first,
either by using the link/unlink tool (ctrl+u) , looks like two pieces of chain, click on video first, then audio, the clip will flicker with a brownish color, or thru clip->unlink audio/video from the menu bar.

Don't forget to go back then to the black arrow (selection tool)
