I want to add database info to my mailto subject variable

My website has articles that I encourage people to email a reponse to. I want the mailto: line to include the title of my article in the subject line. I tried using it this way:

?subject=<%=FP_FieldURL(fp_rs,&quot;title&quot;)%>
but it didn't work. Anybody have any suggestions?
