I installed a Partner ACS 5.0 with Auto Attendant answering all calls. When a caller presses a station to be transferred to....The other stations want to see a light on their individual phones (DSS buttons are programmed)so they can have the option to answer it.

Is there a program or software available to help me with this issue?

Thank you,
Ken

Hi Ken,
You need to program a cover button to have another person cover the extension, or have others press I(ntercom) 6XX (where XX is the ringing extension, no light). The DSS button will only light when that extension goes off hook.

Thanks for the response. The cover option will not help. They want to see from any phone when their office is recieving a transfered call. Is there an option in version 6 or in the Merlin Legend that will offer this option of lighting/blinking another phone when an intercom call is coming in?

Thanks again,

Ken

A legend will let you use coverage buttons to see and answer other extensions that are ringing (up to 8 extensions can cover another extension), but Partner does not offer that option.

If you just need to answer an extension that you hear ringing, without knowing exactly which extension is ringing, but them in a Pickup Group, and add a Pickup button to the extensions.

Hi Ken,
As TouchToneTommy indicated, a Magix would be the best system for that application. Nicer phones too. (TDL) I doubt the customer will switch from a newish Partner unless they get a really good trade-in. There is a big price difference here.
I almost answered your question originally thinking of the Magix with cover buttons.
