Am having challengers as to how to prevent extentions from calling a particular type of external numbers. Lets say I want them to make call through the trunk line to an external number 078199770 but to not to use the same trunk line to call external number 0804556243.Please how can I make this thing work on a panasonic ns1000.
Please I need your support quickly.Counting on you all.

THANKS OBTSYSTEMS BUT I HAD ALREDY CHECKED THE ARS CONFIGURATION TO DEFINED SOME SPECIFIED EXTERNAL NUMBERS TO BLOCK WHEN MAKING OUTSIDE CALLS.BUT WHEN I DEFINE THOSE NUMBERS IN THE ARS IT TELLS ME VALUE IS INVALID.
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE DIRECT ME ON HOW TO DEFINE THOSE NUMBERS IN THE ARS SUCCESFULLY
SECONDLY I WANT THE DETAILS OF THE COS VALUES AND WHAT EACH COS VALUE MEANS.
PLEASE I NEED YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS.AM COUNTING ON YOU GUYS.

Please turn off caps. It is seen as shouting

You are not blocking calls as such. You are routing them to different lines
You put the different trunks in different trunk groups and use ars to send bombers starting with the different codes to go to those trunk groups

You will have to block each trunk in ars settings to stop them going out that route

Thanks obtsystems.I have only one trunk line but what I want to achieve is to allow any external number that starts with 078 to go through the trunk line when users dial such numbers and block external numbers that starts with 080 from going through the trunk when users dial such numbers.
Thank you.

Use trs. In class of service 2 deny table put 080
Set the extension to class of service 2
This will deny the call if 080 is the lead number

Thnk you obsystem.I was even planning of doing that in the ARS leading number exception table.I want to ask if doing it in the ARS table will work. However I will put yours into implementation. But pleas kindly give me what each COS value contaians or what is permitted in each COS value you choose.COS 1,2,3,4,5,6,63,64.
Thank you.

By default the allow all except cos 7 which is no outgoing calls except 911/999

The different cos 1-64 are for allowing extensions all types of allowed or deny features

Things like who can transfer to outside lines. Put on night service etc.....

thank you so much obsystems for your assistance.I am using panasonic ns 1000 and i have three trunk lines coming to the pabx.I have configured two of the trunk lines so that staff can make outside calls through them ,having put the two trunk lines in trunk group 1.But i want the CEO of my company to be the only person to acces the third trunk lines for his external calls so i put the third trunk line in trunk group 2 and I assigned COS 2 to only the CEO's extension. But it didnt work out because I can still access the third trunk line for external calls from the staffs extension/phone.
Secondly I have recorded a voice prompt to be used for OGM using from a studio. How can i upload to the system and get it configured. In which audio format should the file be?
Thirdly I want to achieve the process of when a caller calls my company from an external line and knows the extension of the person he/she wants to talk to, and dials the extension from an external line,it will directly ring on the person's extension without going through the receptionist.
Please I am counting ou your kind assistance.
