1) Create a bar chart.
2) Right-click on the bar you want to become a line.
3) Select "Chart Options" and then "Series..."
4) In the combobox marked "Always Show Selected Series As:"
choose "Line".
OR you can do the following:
1) Create a LINEchart.
2) Right-click on the Lineyou want to become a Bar.
3) Select "Chart Options" and then "Series..."
4) In the combobox marked "Always Show Selected Series As:"
choose "Bar".
The advantage of the first method is that it allows you to start with a 'side-by-side' chart which is good if you are going to have many bars and only 1 or 2lines.
The advantage of the second method is that it allows you to choose different 'marker' shapes for the lines. But the bars draw as 'absolute' (on top of each other) so it is really only good if you have at most ONE bar series.
Unfortunately the 'best of all possible worlds' which is a side-by-side bar chart with lines that can have ANY marker shape you like (star, circle, etc...) is not exposed by Crystal.
