Hit me guys! i want critics!

I have received one till now from virt2002 because my site has 2 frames.....what other option is there for me....i don't want the flash movie to be refreshed when pressing a button. What is your suggestion?

I have posted another thread refering to the links from the footer of the page...so that shouldn't be a critic

Hi Dragos,

At first I was fearful to check it out, because usually when someone ask for a critique they have a lot to critize. However, your site is very cool. Very modern and hip. In my eyes there's nothing really to wrong with it. Perhaps, the music is a tad grating, but this is not a complaint. I find this to be a problem with sites in general that have music...even my own. What I find cool, someone else will say "turn it off" and by that time their annoyed anyhow. Well, I can go off on a long tangent about music, but the bottomline is your site is awesome!

What i saw i liked. It took a LONG time to load. Especially the top of it. And i have a fast connection too. I gave up before i saw what actually gets loaded there.

sle2002: the movie has 200kb ...not a small one but NOT even a big one! if you say you have a fast connection then the movie should load fast enough.

I retried it this morning and it worked fine. Must have been something wrong with the network on my side that day. Sorry about that.

I think it looks great. I like the opaque box that pops up and the way it pops up in the top nav area. But i was expecting content to be displayed there. Did I overlook something?

If nothing goes in there, i would probably say that it wasn't a necessary feature.

Nice clean looking site, but I have to agree with sle2002 about the space at the top. Can you rather incorporate the logo and background pattern into the flash movie, move it to the top, and remove the need to for viewer to scroll the bottom section if they have an 800 x 600 resolution? The one thing I as a websurfer detest is a need to scroll on an opening page. I should be able to see everything I need to see on your main page at a glance.

Hi,

I just checked out your site here at work. We have a full T1, and my only criticism would be the size of the page. Even though it was only a matter of another five or ten seconds...I could see how most people with a regular dialup would be discouraged.

But it is impressive. I have no sound card, so I can't say about the audio.

I'm thinking about buying a copy of Flash. Is it difficult to learn?

Is flash difficult to learn. That is a loaded question. Personally, I think it depends on your background. If you are used to learning programs and already know programs like Photoshop or Director, it will be easier than what it would be for others. On top of that if you have any programming knowledge, is a huge bonus.

I think it Flash has many levels. You can do basic stuff to really complex sites. I have been working with it for about 2 years (not on an everyday case) and I still have a lot to learn.

But at least it is always a challenge (at least for me). And tons of fun.

Bhaines: I would consider the option of incorporate the top part into the flash movie...the logo will be animated anyway...i am working on that right now.

Rougy: do you think that 200kb is to much for an animation with 5 jpgs aprox 30 kb each?....i wanted to do everything in one movie....no furter preloaders....etc....but i see that everybody ...aprox....is complaining about that...i will think at something to solve this problem ;-)
