I uninstalled Norton Internet Secur

I uninstalled Norton Internet Security, because broadband was not working properly.
I intended to re-install it again, but when I put the CD in and clicked install, I got the message....'The MSI must be launched through setup'. When I clicked on OK, I got 'The installation encountered an error and was unable to complete the installation'. So I went to reinstall again, and got 'Setup has detected that a previous install or uninstall has been completed but requires a restart. Please Restart then launch setup again'
I did this a few times. Just going round in circles.

Does anyone know what the problem is, how I can solve it, or how do I get ALL of Norton Internet Security off my computer so I can reinstall it properly?
