This is going to be a long one, so please bare with me. I originally had a computer that was built by a friend, which was a AMD processor and motherboard, 256 mb of ram, 100+HD(one master, one slave). With the XP home operating system. I was having trouble with my Internet Explorer, and ended up accidently deleting my Windows Explorer. Instead of Internet Explorer. The messages I would receive would be: "WinLogon.exe" entry point not found. The procedure entry point AssocIsDangerous could not be located in the DLLSHLWAPI.dll. The Logon user interface DLL masgina: DLL failed to load. Replace DLL or restore the orignal DLL. The XP cd the person gave me did not work, and I was under the assumption he gave me a recovery disk. I later found out there are six recovery disks for XP. I ended up buying a new computer, but I want to save my files from the old hard drive. The computer that was not acting right, I removed the hard drives, and installed one from my son's E-Tower computer which had 64mb of ram, and a 10.8(?) gig hard drive. Before I removed it from my son's computer, I knew the hard drive was good. When I installed it in my old computer, the one with the bad hard drives removed, the BIOS didn't recognize any hard drives. Is there something wrong with this mother board or the cables for the hard drive to the mother board? Also, is there any way to recover my hard drives with the message I have listed? Could I go to the Internet & download DLL from there to try and reinstall it from the CD rom? I pray that someone can help me, I would be crushed if I lost all my files because of a fluke! Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
