I advised a friend to run HijackThis. They did the scan and checked everything and hit the FIX button. Now she cannot get onto the internet at all. She has Yahoo SBC DSL. You gets a page saying that it cannot connect to the server. Can we reset or return the settings to get to the internet?

She was hijacked by some marketing software before this. She could get to the internet, just not via her homepage.

Im looking at v1.97

open hijackthis.
click config button.
click backups button.

At that point you are supposed to be able to see a list of backups which you can restore from. I have not used this feature, so I dont know how well it works.

Are your registry and data backed up?

That is cool. Thanks. I never used that feature.

Hey diogenes10,

My friend deleted hijackthis.exe from her compter. Is this a problem?
