I have a copy of AutoCad 2000, and when i click on the setup icon, it says 'system requirements error, wrong os. AutoCad supports windows NT 4.0, windows NT 5.0, windows 95 & windows 98' Dont know how to get round this problem. Can anyone help me?, in plain english!

hi, try this: click the setup icon with the right mouse button and go to properties. there u should find a card called compatibility or compatible (sorry don't know the exact expression of the english version)and there u can choose to run the programm with the compatibility mode and define whith which windows version (e.g. windows 98)ur programm is ment to work. then u can run the setup and it should work!! well, with me it did work and finally autocad 2000 is working properly on winows xp now :) ....wish u good luck!!! ...... hope the english was plain enough or would u prefer it in german??

yep, this seems to work perfectly, if you set the version to windows 2000 (...) anyway
