I ran a large query in paradox and it started to delete my db, thank goodness, I noticed it, it only got to the A's... I had a backup of my DB from about a week or two ago. I did a query again on the backup DB, exported the A's as a CSV file and imported that into the most recient DB replacing what was del. reindexed and validated. Now on today, when I run query, it dosn't seem to have the same number of records each time it's run. First time ran it's a smaller number, second and third times it shows the same. I did a hardware test on the computers and they pass, scanned for virus too... Has anyone ran into this? And how would I go about checking for other problems? I also have a problem with info on the screen disapearing? Restarting clears it up. Both problems are intermitten...
please help...

hotrodjim48,

Well, without any idea of the actual query, my best guess is that the table has somehow become corrupted. It's very unusual for a query to remove records, unless (of course) it's a delete query of some form.

I'd try running Table Repair against the table. It's entirely possible that you may need to go back to the backup table, export its records to a text file, and then import the text file into a new table created by borrowing the structure of the original backup.

Hope this helps...
