I plugged FAX into AUX port, but phone would not grab outside linePartner ACS 308 . I programmed auto line selection but extension 23 when going off hook continued to grab intercom tone. Therefore when FAX was activated to send fax, only could get intercom tone.
All other extensions when going off hook grabbed line 1.
Help? touch tone tommy?

A single line phone plugged into the aux jack of a Partner phone will get the same auto line select as the phone. Plugged into its own extension port will follow the als you have set for it. Are you sure of the extension number? Are the lines on the extension restricted to in only? Copy from a working extension number to the fax extension number, then set the line ringing as needed.

TTT I eventually changed Ext.23 to Ext. 22. I could not get the Ext.23 to stop seizing intercom tone first. This Fax is not my primary, nor incoming FAX machine.
I like your part about the copy function, but not familiar with the procedure.
