I often need to update reports due to database changes and or user requested changes. For those that don't require any changes other than Formatting etc I just copy the report over the funnynumber.rpt file on the server. Those that have more significant changes (parameters, database, etc) I have to delete and then add back in the CMC. This is becoming very tedious with numerous changes occuring. It also messes up users personal folder shortcuts. Is there any other way to do this? I would love to see an "update report" button in the object management section.

Thanks in advance

Lisa

You should be able to continue to use the method you are doing to push the report object in the directory structure and then click refresh when you have made the changes. The APS will then update its image of the report file

What you have to do is open the report designer (Crystal Reports) , go to File | Open and click on Enterprise Folder. Then log on to the APS (with Admin password to get all the reports) and you can navigate within your ePortfolio folder structure. Open the report you want to update, and simply save it (Save icon) when you are finished. That updates the input directory file. One thing, though: If you just have the default install of CE, this will screw up your recurring schedules. You need to run a hotfix, probably several to update CE to that functionality. Hotfixes are available from Tech Support.
