I/O Error in file Peachw/PEACHW/CHART.DAT

Whenever I try to open anything up Peachtree I get the I/O Error in file C:\Peachw\PEACHW\user\CHART.DAT. Error reading or writing to the file.

Any help on what could be done would be greatly appreciated.

You need to run the integrity check: reindex "chart" in the reindex file list.

Try to print your chart of accounts after reindexing the chart. If you don't receive any errors, the problem was resolved. If you receive another error, run the integrity check again and reindex the chart. Reindexing the chart usually takes care of the problem.
