INFORMATION STORE BACKUP FAILS WITH I/O ERROR.

I'm having similar problems using BE 7.3 on an NT platform.
The backup only fails when trying to backup MS Exchange 5.5
Information Store. When selecting Information Store I also get the following - "no selections exist..."
I'm playing with fire not having a good backup. EDB logs are building up and no way of flushing them.

Can I get some assistance please?

Have you checked all the cables to make sure they are firmly and correctly attached?

Have you stopped and restarted the Backup Exec services?

Have you rebooted the tape device?

Have you rebooted the backup server?
