I am getting an I/) device error everytime I try printing from a DOS based app. I can print fine from word, IE, etc... but will not print from DOS based apps without getting I/O error. Any Ideas?

TIA

the answer varies based on type of printer, os, and whether local or network printer. ie. is printer compat with dos? during install of printer in OS, was option to allow dos printing allowed? Further does prob affect only one dos app. Can you open dos prompt and copy something to the printer? If local printer try "copy <textfile.txt> lpt1". If network printer, may need to use redirect statement.
