I/O bus was reset

We are trying to get the tape drive to work with the software and keep recieving the message "Storage device QUANTUM1 reported an error request to space forward by file marks". It also states the the I/O bus was reset which it was.

Any ideas?

hello, concerning the first error, I resolve this by making a quick erase of the tape.
