Hi all,

I just updated my webfolio and I need some feedback on it, so don't be shy, come and tell me what you think about it. Is there something I should change/improve? I'd love to know.

Right now I'm working on the following changes:
1. No more pop-ups
2. No more frames.
3. Spell-checking and proof-reading

And....... the address:

Hi,
In Firefox, 1025*

1. Like the favicon

2. Like the site, good colours etc

3. You could do with some more text. I'd especially like to see some sort of info relating to links when a certain type of viewer is needed such as "QuickTime Required" etc

4. Some descriptive text might be good, don't just rely on the images, you need to "sell yourself", something like what you have done on "Websites"

Good job though, nice portfolio!

Hello

A few more comments:

It takes a long time to download over my 56K modem connection. Ways of improving speed would be to use hypertext links and CSS at the top instead of images (this would also get round the outlines sometimes excluding the lower part of the text; this is easiest seen on the g in "Drawing" and "Sculpting" links).

Other than the spelling and grammar comments that you are working on, it looks OK.

I'd lose the animated gifs on the main page. If you must have them, make it so they only animate on mouseover. They just distract the eye from your content at the moment. You're already working on losing the frames and the pop-ups, I think that's a good idea. I'd also agree with John about using text instead of images.

What you definitely need is more information about yourself and the purpose of the site. It's not really clear whether it's supposed to be a CV/resume;, an advert, a design business or a personal home page. I suggest you replace the "Contact me" page with an "About" page - with a bit more information about yourself: Who you are, maybe a photo, where you live, how to hire you (if that's what you want), etc.

Nice-looking site. I can see your skills lie mainly in graphics (and you're very good at that, much better than anything I can do).

You may want to consider moving away from fixed-width websites though. If you use the whitespace (or blackspace in your case) wisely, you can easily make it fit to any resolution.

I design all my sites for a minimum of 640x480 which many people may balk at and say is unneccesary, but you try surfing the web in Safe Mode (with Networking) and you'll find that sites designed for 800x600 become a real mess (the Hercules site being an example of such - video card manufacturer).

Perhaps a reduction is size of your image on the left would help you regain some of that valuable screen space.

You definitely need more text though.

Overall though, a nice looking site, with just a few tweaks needed. :)
