I need to send a SCSI unload and load media move request to a tape device.
I have w2k with 5.0MP1 netbackup and the tape libraries are MSL5000 double Dlt drives connected with SCSI interface to the server.
what I need to use and in what syntax in order to adress the correct drive ?

thank in advance !!

At command line run robtest utility. 'unload d1' for drive 1, or 'unload d2' for drive 2. 'm d2 s1' : this would be to move from drive 2 to slot 1. 'm s1 d1' : this would move from slot 1 to drive 1.

robtest is fine but it must be done on the server that has the robotic control.
I am windows impaired but in UNIX I use the mt command to mount/unmount/rewind tapes.
Perchance there is a windows equivalent?

Another tip- use the last 4 digits of the drive's serial number in its name.
That helps identify the correct drive for mapping and doing OS commands (like mt in UNIX)
