I installed Linux Suse 7.1 and then I wanted to format disk and install NT 4.0 server. I tried to do FDISK first, then to format, or to install NT 4.0 server but whatever I do, there are remains of LILO manager and I can't finish the installation. Could anyone help me, please?

Hi,

If you still have a bootable linux system then you could follow these instructions --> .

Basically, you don't 'uninstall' a boot loader from the Master Boot Record (mbr) because that would leave you with an unbootable system. What you do is install another boot loader to overwrite the mbr. If you can't do the above, the easiest should just be to do from MS/Windoze :

fdisk /mbr

Why you'd want to drop linux for M$/NT 4.0 is a question totally beyond me though.... I'd say stick with that soosah 7.1 ....

Regards
