I need to get information on the network card on my system from a C program. On Windoze Visual C I call Netbios(). Is there something equivalent in GCC? My distro is Mandrake 8.1. I posted this question in the Linux desktop forum thread619-226490 but have not had a response.

just use ioctl with the file descriptor of a created socket.
and u can arrange the inforemation abt the network card
