All I really want to do is have a field that increments by 1 for every record because I already have them in the right order

Example

Rank Amount

1 600
2 400
3 300
and so on...

Can anyone help me, I'm pretty sure this is easily done, but the answer eludes me

If you have no groupings, use a running total count field, evaluate on every record, reset = never, and place it inthe details section.

If the numbers above are group numbers, use a running total count field, evaluate on change of group, reset = never and place it in the group footer. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
