I Need to Direct an Extension to a outside Line

I am using Definity G3 I have a phone on an elevator setup as a phantom number. Currently when someone on the elevator picks up the phone, it goes to another phantom extension. This phantom extension is forwarded to an outside line which is the monitoring company for the building. We are changing company's and I need to change the number where it is going. When I display the first phantom number I can see it is going to abbreviated-dialing personal list1 dial code 5. The dial code is the extension for another phantom line. When I display this second phantom line I can not see where or how it is forwarded to an outside line.

How can I see the phone number where it is forwarded to. Remember it is phantom so there is no physical phone. Also, when I try to forward a call it only lets me forward to an extension not an outside line. How do I forward a call outside of the building. We use 9 to dial out.

Thanks

Check either the Coverage Path assigned to the 2nd station or see if it is call forwarded.

Why not just use 'Hotline' on the elevator phone itself and eliminate the 2nd phantom station all together?

You should check the coverage path associated with the "second" phantom number. You might also status the station to see if it's been manually call-forwarded.

I agree with 4meravaya.... you should use the Hotline feature directly, and put the destination of the new company into the dial code of the speed dial list. Just put 9 into the dial string, and it will call the outside location.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

You can use a direct hotline or you can use an X Port station with Coverage Path "n"

Then, in that Coverage Path, Point 1: rXXX (where "r" is coverage remote and xxx the entry number (1-999).
You should consider the x port station must have an outside call allowed COR, and should use 9 before the outside number on the coverage remote entry.
