I am fairly new to photoshop.

I have 2 products I have taken pictures of, and I need to cut these items, and place on a white background.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nathan

...there are a number of ways to remove a background from an image, and the methods are subject to what the make up of the image is...

...the widely used method is by way of the pen tool to create a path, and from that you can make a layer mask, which can be further refined...

...the key to photoshop power are selections and masks, further study can be found here:

Good source from apepp.

If you take the pictures yourself put the object on a background that can easily be removed (different color than your object). Then use the "magic wand" in Photoshop to remove the background. Do this for both items and save those pictures on a transparent background. Now open a new doc and make sure the background is checked "white" background. Click on the first object page and drag your object onto your new white background page. Size accordingly.
