I need to access a Software on a Unix SCO server, telneting from a Linux (Slackware 7.1) machine. I can do it, but I don't have access to extended character set. Meaning here: the boxes drawn with line characters are displayed as odd characters. (for example: instead of having a line drawn, I get a A umlaut).

Also, once the software is executed on the SCO from the Linux box, if I use the up and down arrows or Enter key to scroll up and down in a list (or make choices), the line is refreshed and the cursor is sent to the new line, but there is code generated in the form:

11;12C or 16;0C

I am actually using TERM=scoansi because if I try TERM=linux, the SCO server tells me that it's not recognized.

I had problems with the F keys, but I managed to correct this with loadkeys.

I tried different terminfo, but nothing seems to work.

How can I change the characters displayed and get the right lines and boxes? And how can I get rid of these annoying 11;12C codes generated at the beginning or end of lines?

Thanks in advance,

Pierre Forget
