I need some more help.

I currently have a MS8X24 and I just put in new software (DR5). The only set I can get working is 221 the rest dont show up. How can I get these lines to start working

Sounds scary. Did you disconnect any cables when you replaced the software sleeve? Make sure the Amphenol cable is firmly in place.

I checked the cables and made sure I plugged into KSU and every cable was punched down on the Bix frame properly. All the trunks show up but none of the lines show. I guess I sent ip back to the supplier.

When you say none of the "lines" show, do you mean the stations (extensions) don't show?

Sorry I guess I am not being clear.
Yes the only extension that does show up is 221 if I punch down extensions on any other extension on the BIX I get nothing. I do see all 8 trunks tho.

Can you get into programming from extension 221?
You might have to run startup on system.

Yes I can get into programming with **config or **admin. How do I run startup on a DR5?

I have not worked much with the older systems.

You turn power off wait 10 seconds, power up system, after system comesup do feature **startup, paswword config(within 15 minutes). It will default all programing and set system back to default.

I know you can default system by putting back in the older lower version of software into system.

That did not work. The problem is the previous software cartridge had a bad battery and I lost all the programming everytime I would unplug the KSU or the power would go out. I do have a UPS on it now but before it was fun

Jason,

When you put the old cartridge in, all the phones work?
If they do you need to get a replacement DR5 cartridge. It sounds like there is something wrong with that one.
This is really a strange one!
