Hi,
My client has a database of many tables.
There are a significant number of main tables.
The database in question is well normalised.
The method I use for generating mailshots to certain(running into thousands) of my client's customers is to fill a table with the required addressees' information and then start up the mailshot. Each of the available documents has this table as its datasource.
Now all this has worked brilliantly for years but now I need to generate a mailshot which will ask customers if the named contacts we have for them are still valid - ie still employed. There could be up to 10 contacts per client, so each mailshot may contain up to 10 names. I know it sounds quick and dirty but it seems to me that the only sensible way I can achieve this is to include a repeating group into the datasource table. These datasource tables are only linked to the mailshot documents and are temporary in use - ie once the mailshot is generated the table is cleaned out.
Any other ideas folks?
Deek
