Nov 29, 2001 #2 yizhar MIS Sep 1, 2001 2,282 IL HI. For GUI management, you're best choice seems to me to upgrade to latest version and use PDM. But it depends on your management needs. For tracking the PIX logs, implement a SYSLOG server, and search the net for some PIX specific log analysers. For helping in configuration of new options, you can use PIXCRIPT from here as a helper: http://teachers.sivan.co.il/yizhar/files/pixcreen.htmhttp://teachers.sivan.co.il/yizhar#pixcriptPlease note that it is designed mainly for newer PIX versions and some options won't work for ver 4.4 For IDS - There are many options, depending on your needs and budjet. Nov 29, 2001 #4 berford Vendor Jun 9, 2001 70 US The PIX has IDS capabilities built in. What PIX OS version are you using? The IDS is in v5.2 and later versions. You will need to use Cisco Secure Policy Manager to get the best use out of the IDS. Liberty for All, Brian Upvote 0 Downvote
