i need help

I got a box at work that is a pentium 111 128 ram 6g... I am trying to install windows xp on it and i am having serious problems.. the computer was used as sun microsystems and I cant get it to format the hard drive. How do i turn this system into a windows pc.. it keeps auto booting and i cant get it to stop.. thanks for any help possible..

with some fdisc from any linux distro or os/2 boot floppies delete all the partitions.
with dos fdisk or some other tool reformat the mbr with fdisk /mbr

Go into the BIOS and set the boot order to boot from the CDROM first.
