I just bought 2 WD HD's 80 gig both clean, im tryin to set up a raid with High point, in the cmos. I set it up fine and its reconized by the windows utility. but when i go to my computer i dont see my raid. i see the raid under disks in the manager. so i know its reconized. but all it shows is my 1 harddrive in the ide port. any sugestions? thank you

How big is the one drive that is reported? If it is 160Gb then the RAID is working fine.

I have 3 harddrives 1 in the ide port(with my windows XP on it) and 2 80 gig harddrives. it only sees the hard drive in the ide port. but i know my raid 0 is set up correctly, but when i go to my computer its not there. thanksyou for any replys.

You need to go to Control Panel, Administrative Options, Computer Management. Click on the Disk Manager. You should see your RAID 0 drive listed there. Add a signature, and format, and you're good to go.

Jbotz, your my saviour! thank you so much you were exactly right on. im formattin the raid right now and its now reconized in the "my computer area" This just shows the experts really do lend a hand to people. I owe u one =)
