i need help running a movie on a site

on my menu bar i have a little space i want it to when the mouse is over a button a little movie to play there i.e a avi, realplayer, windows media player or anything that will not launche in a new window and preferably have low file size

Why not use a Flash mc? Or an animated gif inside a Flash mc?
That would be the smallest size movie and the easiest to do!

If you want actual video (and don't want to create a flash-style video by exporting from a video editing program), you'll probably have to use WildForm's Flix program. It encodes video directly into the .swf format.
