I have a definity G3V8 with a PRI f/ Ameritech. We are moving an office in two weeks in with us to share the definity. The current office is using the 6xxx dial plan. The new acquistion uses 3 digit dialing with 100 DID 9200 thru 9300. Is there anyway in the definity to have the co send 3 digits but always add a 6 at the beginning so they both can use the 6xxx dial range. I know that in the cha tru x you can add and delete digits but I need to do this for over 100 numbers. Any ideas?

There are a number of approaches that could be applied, If digits are received as 'enbloc' upto 54 (assuming G3r)individual numbers could be convertedto distinct numbers, eg Called No '100' -> 6123, or groups of 1x digits could be handled, eg Called No '10' Length '3' Insert '6' -> 610x, same applies for ranges of 1xx, eg Called No '1' Length '3' Del '1' insert '62' -> 62xx.

If 'overlap' is used to recieve digits, either convert the range as a whole by inserting '6', or insert a code that will translate to entries in the AAR or ARS digit conversion table where the options outlined above would then be available.

Calling Number - Insert 6 -> 6xxx

Assuming 7 is the AAR Access code (FAC)
Calling Number - Insert 78888 -> AAR digit conversion for 8888xxx, which can be broken down to individual digits.

There are probably other ways as well.

Cheers.
