I used up my hard drive which was 12gb and now I bought a new one so that I can use both. I need some help in configuring this. I understand that I need to use FDISK using my windows 2000 pro edition cd. Should I set my new hard disk to 100% new partition or half? What do I do?

"What do I do?" Depends on which way you want to go.

The best way would be to set the drives as Master and Slave and use a disk-cloning software [DriveCopy is the one I use] and clone the older/smaller/slower drive to the newer/larger/faster drive. Then reformat the older one to use for storage. Then set the drives/jumpers for the newer one to be Master and the older as Slave.

Next best would be put the newer drive in as Master and install Win2000 'clean' but then you'd have to re-install all your programs.

You may get a few responses as to other ways.
