I need help figuring out how to view all projects on one day

I'm trying to help my roommate out with Microsoft Project 2007. He has several tasks and various project files that says what days require what things need to be done. However he has several different project files and doesn't want to go into each one to see what needs to be done for each on a certain day. He wants to just click on one day and see all the tasks. Can it be done?

Create a Master project.

(The master project will contain links to all of the files so that when he opens the Master project, it will open the linked files automatically.)
