I need format a LTO Tape with Linux Redhat.

Actually we need perform a format over a LTO Tape. Do you know one command to perform this action?. When i try to perform a tar command, the tape shows the message "Invalid argument". This message appear after try to configure a Dataprotector agent over this host.

Is that the complete error message? What is the command you are trying to run?

This is a Linux RedHat 5.0

use tar -cfd * /dev/st0

don't use the >
