I need audio help

Im trying to get the audio recorded from a vcr into the computer i can hear it when its recording but when i try to playback i dont get anysound. When i click on the audio thing i dont get any waves for the sound either....can anyone help? thanks

your sound input must be set to whatever audio input you are using. try to set it before opening premiere
