I'M A DATAWAREHOUSE CONSULTANT, BUT NOW I'M WORKING WITH MICROSTRATEGY, BUSINESS OBJECTS AND OLAP SERVICES.

If you ask cognos direct they may give you the option of an evaluation package.

Hi Guys,

I am also evaluating both Cognos and MicroStrategy for my company. It is hard decision. For MicroStrategy, I have just downloaded the eval copy and will start playing with it. For Cognos, unfortunately they do not have eval copy and I spent some bucks on the PowerPlay Transformer Training to get a chance to play with the whole things for 3 days. At this stage, I couldn't tell which is better for my company as I haven't started playing with MicroStrategy, what I can say so far is, there are something Cognos cannot fulfill in my requirement.
