i need a time field to go over 23:59

Hi all

I need to get a field that can go over 23:29. I want this because I want to use the field for overtime done in the current year so far. eachtime overtime is done it is added to this field for the specific employee. This was we can ensure that overtime is spread fairly. Is it possible to create a time field which will allow this?

Hi

A Date/Time field is used to store a time as a point in time (eg 11:00Am on 10/10/2003)

You are trying to store an elapsed time, which is simply a number of hours (or whatever unit you choose eg minutes), so if you simply use a number type (say long) you will have no problem, you simply format the number when you comae to display it to a user in a form or report (using a format stement)
