Hi,
We have nearly 500 or 600 ODNs in call center...
The extension interval is 4xxx and 5xxx
Also we have some hunt group numbers and ACd groups (nearly 20 ACD groups or hunt groups) same as 4xxx or 5xxx interval

500 ODNs should not be called by PSTN as these are agents... but by obligation i should make this ODNS, "open to DID traffic" related with Genesys...
Now how can i set a configuration such as the ACD or hunt group numbers able to be called externally but ODNs should not be called externally

Note: ODNS SERV parameter sould be set like open did traffic, i can't change this parameter..
The solution can be done by nutri, by changing the extension number to another number, but i have nearly 600 ODNS so its not a good way to do this..

tc will not work. In this case Genesys can not root the call to odn - I think. But you can sum extensions for nutri. Example: If 4000 to 4009 are extensions, then only make nutri:entry=400. So your workload is only 1/10. But: In ten minutes I have made a Sendfile in Excel for 500 entries in nutri - Why isn´t it a good way? The better way is indeed, to think about this problem, before setting up this szenario...

Of course will TC work, if you know how ti use it. Maybe you can use NUTRI with CONT=1 )

Take the ODN's out of the DDI range, Re-number them to an existing spare range i.e. 6000 - 6999

If you don't have spare numbers in the existing ranges, then remove say 4000&&4099 and then add a 5 digit range of 40000&&40999 and use these (gives you 1000 numbers to play with)

If this doesn't help then i think we need a bit more clarity on what EXACTLY it is that you are trying to achieve. For example other eamples above seem fine

WHY can't you use NUTRI, why can't you change the TCMAP and why can't you change the parameter "serv" ??? If you can explain these then maybe we can more concise in a solution

Hi all,
I think TC will not work because if the route's and extension' connections matrix will not allow to handle a new call, then Genesys can not divert the call to ODN (because this route will divert the call to ACD and so the ODN , so the ODN should be accessible but should have no DID...
I also thought to change the ODN range to another but, the numbering plan will not allow this as we have 6 other locations...Also it will give much load because genesys configurations and all configurations should be done again...
I think it will be better to use nutri with lairl's example such as " If 4000 to 4009 are extensions, then only make nutri:entry=400."
But also i have other nutris so i think it will be dangerous to affet the other nutri definings.
i should be careful to do this.

Also what i mean is if nutri has been used 600 times how will affect to the switch? i don't know what processes done on switch side, or is there any "nutri" limit that can be defined??I don't want to be surprised after 250 nutris :)

Hi Trident
Would you please tell me what does "cont parameter" do?
How can i use it
I read the Alex but actually could not realize it.Can you give an example

What will happen when i change aan entry's cont parameter to 1
Maybe it can help me for some cases.
Rgrds.

Meaning of cont=1:

Imagine, you have Euro-ISDN, Then you must make an entry in nutri, to cut your own public number which is sent to your system for incoming calls. So the entry for a public number must be for my market:

nutri:entry=4321,trc=4,rou=public route,cntyp=0,numtyp=4;

What now, if you decide to convert the extension 777 to new extension 2222 with the goal, that a incoming caller, who diales 777 should go to 222? The old way was to split the entries as follows:

43210,trc=5
43211,..
43212
43213
43214
43215
432170,trc=6
432171,..
432172
432173
432174
432175
432176
4321770,trc=7
4321771
4321772
4321773
4321774
4321775
4321776
4321777,trc=7,pre=222
4321778
4321779
432178
432179
43218
43219

many entries for one number to convert! Not to think of 5-digit-numbers

New way is to use cont=1, in this example two entries are enough:

nutri:entry=4321,trc=4,cnvtyp=0,numtyp=4,cont=1;
nutri:entry=222,cnvtyp=0,numtyp=12;

So you only need 2 entries instead of dozens...

But trident: cont=1 will not help for this problem, you should use cont=1 but you can not prevent many entries...
