Hi,

I really need a grid type picture similar to that of entry page.
It needs to be like a background which fades out on the bottom right hand corner, how could i make this?

I'd really appreciate some help on this, i've asked heaps of ppl already and they have no idea. :-(

Thanks.

You can make grids in photoshop pretty easily - for import.

If you want to do it in Flash, how does: View - Grid - Show Grid & View - Grid - Snap to Grid and draw it with the line tool sound? View - Grid - Edit Grid will allow you to change the density of it.

To make it fade. Create a new layer. Draw a box around your grid with no fill. The on the fill panel select Linear Gradient as a fill type. For one of the colours choose your background colour. Select the other colour and change the alpha, on the mixer tab - mixer panel, to zero. This will create a fill from solid to transparent. Fill the box on layer two. Depending on circumstances you can then deleting the stroke - or not.

go make it,

Thanks for that gags, just one question tho - how do i apply alpha to the linear gradient fill? and also how would i rotate the gradient fill in a box in layer two so it fades out to the bottom right hand corner.

Thanks again :)

Make sure you can see both the Fill and Mixer panels.

Window - Panel - Fill
Window - Panel - Mixer

When you choose the Linear Gradient you get the two markers that display the colours of the fill. When you click on one notice that the values change on the mixer panel. One of these values is alpha, simply make it zero.

Once you have your fill, draw a box on a new layer above grid - with no fill. You now use the fill tool, paintbucket, to fill it with your custom fill. Try playing around with this tool. Holding the mouse button down and dragging - as in ps - will give you the effect you need.
