I'm looking for a copy which is "gathering dust" on someones shelf and wants to part with it. Suffice to say the need arises from a former company who now wants an app I wrote, but I want to build an executable to secure the code from their prying eyes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rob McLennan
Davis, CA
rmcl@compuserve.com

If ("you have a registered copy of VFP") = .t.

you can call MicoSoft and and they will sell you a copy of 2.6 for the cost of a one license upgrade

endif

David W. I have a standard copy of 2.6 but I have had no luck with "Microsquash" regarding their support of this older version. I'm also wary of the price they would place on such an older program.
Thoughts??

I did indeed contact MS and was told they "no longer support" this version nor do they have any copies in archive to sell. I have found some one who has a 2.5 compiler; will this version compile programs written in 2.6a?

I tried both E-bay and the emsps.......; both with no luck. I agree the second is no bargain for an outdated program. But I was able to FINALLY get a copy at a resonable price from a user who passed along all docs and rights.
The old saying is true; there are really nice people out there, it's just a question of persitance.

Rob

Very funny...Perhaps you need a sense of a) Humor and / or b) perspective.

Specific project..specific needs..no desire to recreate the "wheel" when this will be obsolete in short order. As is your "386"; I suggest a boat anchor, perhaps with you attached!!!
Would that be from a row boat or one of those new fangled ones with a fancy electric motor?
John Durbin

ICQ VFP ActiveList #73897253
