I made a site using ASP and when I had it working on my PWS at home I uploaded it to the web and much to my shock I found it did not work. I get the following error.

Vbscript Runtime error 'ASP 0185 : -2147467259'
Data source name not found or no default driver specified

/abba/gig02.asp,line 55

The host I use only supports iASP (I think its a Linux system). My question is this; is this due to some random error in my code that I have over looked or is it an iASP specific problem? Will changing my host to a NT Server host solve the problem? Is it worth doing the transfer anyway? ANy help you can give would be...well...helpful and much appreciated.

This is a problem with your connection-string.
What it means is that it can't find your database... This is not a bug - it's an undocumented feature...

I've looked into the database path and checked that it was set correctly. It was. So I looked into iASP a bit further and after reading through my hosts' over complicated example I have found that iASP running on Linux does not support MS Access connection in the same way as MS NT. So I'm going to move to another host.
