I have about 20 icons in the quick launch and have the bar two high. so I have two rows of icons 10 above the other.
These are things I do all day long here at work.
Is there any way to make two small rows in win 7 in its bar. I know I can pin them and I have turned on the quick lauch but its on the far right not the far left.
I also have a 20" HD monitor so I have plenty of room for it all
my resolution is 1152x864
Also "My Recent documents" in XP I used all the time as well?

is there any hope for this in win 7?

TIA

If you right click the taskbar, there should be a box to check, that says to use small icons. You can also create a new task bar, and populate it with whatever icons you need. All of my pinned icons are on the left side, just to the right of the start button. You can also choose to have the items icon displayed all the time, by clicking the always show box in customize of the notifications area.

Rejoice. It's one thing that wasn't "fixed" and you can still have it as rclarke said. You can add them as stated above or drag a shortcut to the program directly to the Taskbar.
Even better, you can a fairly wide array of access points to the taskbar (links for instance);. Right click on it and choose "Toolbar".
Alternative: You can have your frequent programs on the start menu - just right click on the program (or the program's shortcut) and click "pin to start menu") so you end up with two sets of go-to addresses and applications. Nice.
