I lost IE6 background color after power outage

After a power outage this afternoon, I rebooted my comp and I found out that I have no more background colors on any webpage- just white. My OS is xp and I use IE6, Avant, and Opera. This problem is happening on Avant also, but not on Opera. I've poured through every setting that I could find to no avail.

All of my apps are running at full color- no probs there, and there is also no problem with text color and gifs. Please help, this is quite annoying!
