I like to know HOW things works rather than just knowing it does.....

Hello there,
I hope all is well with you, and i hope you may have some insight for my problem....not my spelling problem :)
Here it is, I am opening an online business, Much like ebay..only there are no bidding, you could call it a "Buy, Sell, and trade" site, for my local area. I am not going to make it available to people to post thier own ads. one reason being that, i cant even begin to think how i'd do that. and second, because i want to have control over where the ads are placed and things like that. But here is my delema: (which, any information regarding training companies or materials on web development would be greatly appreciated)

Say i have 90 products that i have to place on the site ... Do I need to create 90 different sites, for each individual product, or is there some way--- (Cause i just dont see a site like Ebay with 1,000,000,000 diferent individual sites for each product....or is it this way?)---that when someone clicks "classic, 1980 ford" the browser will fetch the picture, description and any other info that might be placed on the page, compile it into a page, and when the person goes off the page, the site gets deleted, or something like that...I have heard of Active Server Pages... is this a way to use them?... My knowledge of Webpage development doesnt go beyond HTML., weellll, heres what i know:

Basic Html (Yet I still cant figure out how to tell what version of it im writing, so therefor dont understand the document decleration, and cant figure out why when i have three tables one aligned left, the next aligned center and the third aligned right, the right table jumps down a space, and sometimes even disapears...but other than that,....I pretty much got it..:)..)

CSS ( I dont know the complete 2000 attributes, but i know everything I have used so far.)

Im still kinda in the dark ( #-) ) about Javascript, the only thing i can really do is create variables.......hard to find quality information (tutorial wise) on the net.i mind as well :-Q

Frames (i know it falls under html...but...)

...

you may be wondering why i dont just hire someone.....first of all, i dont have the money. second of all and most important... I want to know how to make Webpages...Good webpages...Dynamic webpages..... I dont just want to know web pages, but also Programming languages, and associated topics. Im one to like to know HOW things work not just that "this is what you do", and "this is the outcome". I want to KNOW HOW....and this is one of the reasons i stopped looking at "XXXXX for dummies" books, Almost all of the Questions I wanted answers to, the dude told me i dont have to worry about, it will just confuse you...and things like that.....i dont know where to get good training, preferebly online training, so that when i have completed the course, i know what the hell im doing, and not just how to string words together to create the outcome......Know what i mean?

I can only learn so much from online tutorials...i have spent countless hours looking for training on specific things (asp, javascript, all the other scripts....all of the sites just confuse me. they shouldnt be up there.)
Everytime I grasp one language (HTML) Another pops up somewhere else reffering to different terms and programming languages that i havent even heard of.

Its difficult.

ANY help from ANYONE would be GREATLY and DEEPLY appreciated. thank you, and i hope to hear from someone soon.

Andrew Romanski

PS

I would just rather pay for training cause this way i know i will be getting what i want, unlike spending hours on tutorials and finding out that i didnt learn anything....I have tried webmonkey.com htmlgoodies.com(Joe Burns has taught me almost everything i know about HTML, CSS, FRAMES....and im greatfull)

But still dont feel like I know enough to call it quits for the learning department.
