One of my technicians wiped a hard drive, reinstalled windows and the user has been on the computer for a while. The bad thing is there was some data on that wiped drive that is very important. I know this is praying to the Gods but is there ANY way to retrieve info from a wiped drive?

Yes - any good data recovery tool will let you do this (unless drive has actually been overwritten, eg with binary zeros) - eg has been recommended by many here (Google will turn up many more).

But the new install/use since may of course have actually overwritten data you want of course. For best chance, stop using it now and slave drive to another machine to attempt data recovery.
