I just used the deployment wizard to create a setup program for my application, and i got this message:

You have included mdac_typ.exe in your installation package. If you will be installing this package on a Windows 95/98 system, it will require DCOM98 to install properly.

what is this about?... and what is DCOM98?... i don't have it on my computer.

Thanks.
Adam.

MDAC stands for "Microsoft Data Access Components". If your application uses ODBC or OLE DB to store/retrieve data, then it's a good idea to include this in the install since the machine your application is being installed on, may not have this component installed. If you're installing the application on a Windows 95 machine, then DCOM98 will also need to be installed. I believe that parts of MDAC rely on the components in the DCOM install. DCOM stand for Distributed Component Object Model.
